Review: Activated Charcoal!

So, I’ve got a new favorite. I go through phases of “faves”, seeing that every other day I’m learning of something new that’s even better; sue me. I’m very big into natural products when I can find them, especially for my face, body and teeth. I don’t think we ever truly think deeper into items we’re so accustomed to using, such as face wash, toothpaste, etc. I’m not telling you that you have to go out and splurge on everything natural and that’s the only way you will succeed, never that.

But if you can find the best, natural products for a great price, why not?

That’s my way of thinking. So when I continued to hear about activated charcoal, my curiosity got the best of me. I was hearing such fabulous things! I saw proof of how much of a transformation it was having on the skin and teeth of others, as well as they’re bodies. I had to try!
If you’re not familiar with Activated Charcoal, here are just a few of the benefits:

  • Whitens Teeth
  • Clears Acne
  • Treats Poisoning
  • Cleans the Digestive Tract
  • Alleviates Gas & Bloating
  • Lowers high cholesterol
  • Heals Ulcers
  • Toxin Removal
  • Treats Hangovers
  • Deep Cleanses and Purifies hair & skin
I ordered my jar of Activated Charcoal online at Amazon for $7! The jar seems small but it’s packed to the brim with charcoal powder, enough to last you month after month. Odorless, in the form of a fine powder, I was a little skeptical but tried it out as a teeth whitener to start off. I recommend that if you’re using Activated Charcoal to whiten your teeth, please begin by using it in the shower! The black powder can be quite messy, and who wants to have to clean that up!?

I’ve been keeping a spare toothbrush in my shower just for the occasion. No real steps or instructions needed, just apply the charcoal powder to your toothbrush as you would toothpaste and brush away! I like to brush for 3 minutes or so, or until I’ve seemingly run out of powder on my brush. Brush as normal, then rinse!! I like to be certain to brush with my normal Spin Brush and toothpaste immediately afterwards, although there is no taste. Brushing with the charcoal is not an icky taste, smell and personally, it didn’t make me cringe when I used it.

I’ve been brushing with Activated Charcoal twice a week for 3 weeks now and my teeth are whiter than they ever were before!
